(Luke 19:2) And, Zacchaeus was considered a sinner. (Luke 19:7) Being a chief tax collector at that time and region must have been really hard. It is understood Zacchaeus had all that he wanted in life. Yet, he wanted to see Jesus. The Bible passage records every effort that the short man took to see Jesus. That means Holy Spirit recognizes sincerity in human beings. Having to run ahead of a crowd and climbing a tree unexpectedly would exhaust anyone.
